Meet Our Staff

Pastor John Lee is a native of San Antonio and grew up in our church. He trusted Christ as his Savior during a youth retreat in 1971.

Pastor John graduated from Trinity University with a bachelor's degree in Biology and later was led to commit his life to full time ministry. He attended Dallas Theological Seminary, where he received a Master's of Theology in Old Testament. He is currently completing a Doctor of Ministry degree, also from Dallas Theological Seminary.

After graduating from seminary, Pastor John was ordained at the Chinese Baptist Church of Miami, where he ministered for twenty years. Prior to coming to San Antonio, Pastor John served as Minister of Curriculum and Care at First Baptist Church of Ft. Lauderdale.

Pastor John is married to his wife Lily and has two sons, Joshua and Daniel.

Judy Cheng serves as our Chinese minister.  She graduated in May 2009 from Moody Bible Institute with a Master degree in Biblical Studies. Prior to attending Moody, Judy has worked in the food industry as a research scientist for over 20 years and has a Master Degree in Food Science.

She was born in Hong Kong. Her family moved to Taiwan when she was 6. She met her husband Chih while working in Chicago. After living there for almost 30 years, they moved to San Antonio in 2005 and started attending FCBCSA.

She was baptized in 1982 and has been an active member in Chinese Baptist Church in Chicago serving at various areas.

Judy enjoys reading and traveling. Her ministry gift and passion is to study God's word with others
