What We Believe

Baptists are people who profess a living faith.  Our faith is rooted in Jesus Christ who is "the same yesturday, today, and forever."  The sole authority for faith and practice is the Bible, the Word of God.  As Baptists, we believe that every believer is a priest unto God and has direct access to Him through prayer and communion. We are self-governed and self-supported by the church members.

We believe:

• the Bible is the inspired Word o fGod and the integrity of the Holy Spirit has been divinely protected through the ages
• in the Trinity - God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ) and God the Holy Spirit
• in the deity of Jesus Christ and his virgin birth
• in the forgiveness of sin through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ
• that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone
• in the Great Commission and reaching people for Jesus Christ
• that Jesus Christ will return again for his church
