I can hardly believe that the Retreat is almost here. I haven't slept for days cuz I'm so excited. My wife asked me why I was packing in the middle of the night two weeks before the retreat. Seriously, I'm really excited about this year's retreat. I hope you are too. Below you will find some info to help you prepare for the retreat.

To P.O.S. (Parents of Students): Thank you so much for allowing your child to attend this year's retreat. Our team has worked hard to plan and organize this event with them in mind. We long to see them get "connected" with God in a real and personal way. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of their life and for entrusting me with them. I promise you I won't drive them to insanity with my crazy sense of humor. We look forward to sharing the retreat with you when we meet together again on Sunday.

Summer Youth Retreat

The long anticipated Youth Retreat is almost here. In just a few days we will all load up for a short drive to New Braunfels.

Here's what you can expect at this year's retreat:

Great Inspiring Messages
Great Workshops
Great Games & Activities
Great Food & Fellowship
Great Devotional Time
Great Friends
Great Pastor P's Jokes

Oh, did we mention a Great & Fun Time? You will create lasting memories as you are being challenged to connect with God and develop close friendships with others.

Getting Ready for the Retreat

Where to Meet: FCBCSA on 5481 W. Prue Road

When to Meet: Be there by 2pm (Texas time) so we can leave by 3.

What to Bring:

Bible and pen (booklet will be provided)
Towels
Pillow & Sleeping bag
Tasteful clothes for three days; bring jeans or pants for Sunday church to be worn with the Retreat t-shirt
Swimming suits (one piece only)
Tennis shoes & tennis rackets (don't forget balls)
Toiletries (plenty of deordorants)
Snacks (to be shared with the Youth Pastor)
A-ready-to-have-a Great Time Attitude!

What Not to Bring:

Game Boys
Electronic games
Pokemon/Yu-Gi-Oh Cards
50" big screen TV or desktop computer
Siblings not in the Youth Group
Parents (well, unless your parents are bringing you!)

Sunday Schedule

7:00 (that's in the Morning!) - Wake wake!!!
7:30 - Breakfast, Pack the Van, Quiet Time
8:45 - Depart for FCBC
11:00 - Retreat Reflection Service with church family

As you can see we will be returning on Sunday in time for our Worship Service together with family and friends. Some of you may be asked to take part in the service (read, sing, pray, share). Please be open and willing and allow God to use you.

I've had a REALLY bad day! I rear-ended a car today. I tell you, It was a REALLY REALLY REALLY BAD DAY! The driver got out of the other car and he was a DWARF! He looked up at me and said, "I am NOT Happy!" So I said, "Well then, which one ARE you?" That's how the fight started.
